Editorial policy
A useful source can still answer a narrower question than a headline suggests. The editorial approach is to identify that question and preserve what remains unanswered.
Do not invent the missing amount
A proprietary-blend declaration is reported as the total it names. Unpublished component quantities are not supplied by arithmetic, and blend mass is not relabeled as a dietary-fiber result. Published serving language describes a source record; it is not converted into personal intake instructions.
Product identity also matters. A page title, selected item and linked artwork can disagree. We retain a material discrepancy instead of choosing the version that sounds more reassuring or assuming that a familiar brand name identifies the delivered product.
Keep a study inside its boundaries
Research descriptions retain the preparation studied, population, comparison, duration, outcomes and analysis limits supported by the source. An ingredient appearing in a blend does not make the commercial blend the study material.
A reported change in one outcome is not silently exchanged for another outcome. A seller’s support wording remains attributed to the seller, and discomfort is not presented as evidence that a supplement is working. Neither a positive phrase nor an unfavorable result justifies an unsupported conclusion about every product.
Expose the source qualification
The register uses actual source names, addresses, type descriptions and checked dates. It does not invent a separate institution field or turn an access date into a publication date. Duplicate addresses can retain separate entries when their descriptions or uses differ.
The full descriptions remain readable with the references. They are not hidden behind an evidence score or shortened to a certification badge. Earlier successful records and later access failures keep their own dates and meanings.
Checking and commercial context
The content has source and editorial checks, distinct from clinician signoff or testing a manufactured product. These checks do not promise continuous monitoring of every seller page, ingredient warning or study.
Commercial positioning is disclosed, while the text retains its source limits. The reader does not assess swallowing, allergies, diet or medicine combinations. Individual care is outside a publication about documents.
